Today, we can see the result of their effort, and that the $1000 investment has paid off nicely, as they have grown into the largest manufacturer , producing as many 33,000 pool tables in a single year, with such classic pool table lines as the Select Series and the Signature Series.

For a manufacturer to produce such a staggering amount of tables, space is definitely a requirement .  So they packed up the company, and headed back to their hometown of Portland Tennessee and built them a 250,000 square foot production plant..

I’m sure you’ve heard of this company by now, or maybe you’re new to the billiards table industry.  Before you go and buy a table, you need to learn where it was built.  Today there is a great deal of tables being manufactured in China, Vietnam, and Malaysia; and that’s not to say that they don’t produce nice tables; however the wood quality that they use in their tables is usually quite poor.  Wood quality is by far the most important element of getting a quality billiard table.  When you invest your hard earned money into a table, you need to make sure that it will stand the test of time, and offer you generations of enjoyable use.

I hope that I have made my point clear about wood quality, and that Olhausen uses only the highest grade.

With the game of billiards comes the discussion about the billiards pool table, the billiards cues and the billiard balls. Choosing the correct billiards pool table can have a definite effect on your overall performance as a player. The quality, style, the size and design of the table are what must be often looked for. Let’s take a closer look at each point and consider how one must select the best type of billiards pool table they want.

Before getting a billiards pool table, you will have to measure the room you are going to put it in. Will it be enough for the billiards pool table? What about the players who will be in the room? Will they have enough space to move around with a huge billiards pool table in the middle? Having an idea about this is beneficial before purchasing a pool table.

Most pool tables usually come in 7, 8 or 9 foot measurements. Many players opt for the 8 foot billiards pool table as the ideal size for a home games room. The 9 foot billiards pool table is used in clubs and offices that have a large area of space. The 7 foot table can sometimes be too small.
